We also specify high-quality LED lamps and LED-integrated light engines to reduce the possibility of premature failure. Product warranties range from 3 years to 5 years on lamps and lifetime on many fixtures and stainless steel-cased transformers. Switching control of your lighting system can range from a simple bulletproof toggle switch to motion detection to smart switching which turns on your lighting system at dusk automatically throughout the entire year and off at your desired off-time setting. We also specialize in setting up systems that allow for Zone Switching. Lights can be grouped to come on and off at whatever time you desire.

Alexia Lighting Design, llc offers installation on every lighting system we design. For the customer who has a qualified contractor already doing work at their home and would like to self-install we are flexible to offer that too. You may think or ask, will this lighting installation be disruptive to our new or older existing landscape? The answer is No. Our installation method in most situations is by hand trenching and digging. We carefully move existing mulch away from flowers, plants and shrubs in areas where we need to trench in new lighting cables. It can look a little messy when we are in progress but when all cable work and fixtures are installed everything goes back as it was. Crossing established or even new sod lawns is also done by hand with little to no damage to the lawn. In most all situations we leave your project in a “better than we found it” condition. That's what we strive for! Upon completion of installation light levels, fixture beam angles are adjusted, and fixtures are aimed for optimal visual effect. Also, if. our customer would like us to make any additional adjustments to the lighting system. We also offer Night Adjustment Outcalls if and when needed.

After we have custom-designed and expertly installed your new lighting system the time will come when your system will require maintenance service. Just as your auto, home heating- cooling system or irrigation system require periodic maintenance, so will your lighting system. We offer annual service programs or "call us when you need us" service outcalls. When servicing your system we power up your system to confirm all fixtures are in working order. Then we re-align fixtures as needed and clean dirt and debris from fixture lenses or covers. With plant growth there sometimes will be a need to shift the position of a fixture or trim back plant material which may be covering or blocking light output. Also checking tree mounted down light fixtures and cables running down back sides of trees is a very important item to check. LED lamps are long life lamps but at times when a lamp or two reach the end of their life they will need to be replaced. We stock most common LED lamps in commonly specified wattages and beam angle spreads on our vehicles, this can reduce additional trips back to the jobsite. Lastly, if there has been any new planting work done since we were last out to your home you may want to consider adding in new lighting to your landscape.
